Dominican Republic assignment
I already know that the Dominican Republic speaks Spanish.
I learned that on February 12, 2007, the largest pot of Sancocho (a Dominican food) in the world was prepared at the 7th Dominican Fair, using a 4 meter cooking pot to cook it. After five hours, 3000 Dominicans got to eat this meal prepared by 11 Dominican chefs and their assistants. It used 300 lbs of beef, 250 lbs of pork, 150 lbs of chicken, 500 plantains, 300 lbs of malanga, and others to make this giant dish.
